Our Special Families

At Adoption Minnesota we have many families who would like to have you consider them as adoptive parents for your child. These families have placed letters in our "Dear Birth Parent" book and some of them are posted on this website. Please contact us by calling our toll free Birth Parent number, 1-888-333-2275, so we can find out what you are looking for in an adoptive family. Then we can send you Dear Birth Parent letters from those families who meet your requirements.

Our Families are Approved for Adoption

All of our families are approved for adoption and have completed an adoption homestudy valid under the laws of the State of Minnesota. So you don't have to worry that someone you like might not be able to adopt your child! They are a varied and excited group of families who are longing to add a child to their homes and hearts.

	Bob & Kate - Suburban couple has a 5 year old son. Bob is a computer science instructor. Kate is a nurse practitioner. They enjoy ethnic cooking, hiking, camping, soccer, scrapbooking and music. The have a gentle Collie named Prince.
	Chad & Kim - CHOSEN - Suburban couple, married 8 years. Chad, 33, is a teacher. Kim, 34, is a marketing manager. They have a 19 month old adopted son named Grant. They enjoy golfing, barbeques, and spending time at the lake with family and friends. They have a golden retriever named Lexie.
	Brent & Wendy - CHOSEN - Rural couple, known each other 9 years, married for 6 1/2 years. Wendy is a high school teacher. Brent works at a private university. They enjoy the summers off by boating, camping, and spending time outdoors. They have a dog, cats, a rabbit and sheep.
	Jim & Sheila - Jim and Sheila have been together for 13 years and enjoy golf, boating, spending time outdoors & community activities. Jim is an area sales manager. Sheila is a stay-at-home parent. They have a Shih Tzu named Polo.
	Corey & Tana - Suburban Christian couple, married 9 years. They have a daughter, Aly, age 4. Corey works for a computer data company. Tana works in the advertising field. They both enjoy volleyball, golf & music. They have a lovable Cocker Spaniel named Disney.
	Joe & Tawnya - They have been together for 10 years, married for 8. They have a 4 year old adopted son named Connor. Joe is a construction painter. Tawnya is a bridal retailer. They enjoy fishing, scrapbooking and family walks together. They have a friendly golden retriever named Scout.
	Jody & Todd - They have been together for 10 years, married for 7 years. Jody is an emergency room doctor. Todd is a stay-at-home parent. They have a 3 year old daughter, Natalie. They have 2 cats, Mac and Joe.
	Brian & Monica - Suburban couple married for 6 years. Monica works in airline sales and Brian is an engineer. They enjoy entertaining, golf and travel. They have one dog named Smokey.
	Nancy & John - Suburban couple, married for nine years. John is a team lead in the computer field. Nancy is a quality specialist. John and Nancy enjoy music and play in a community band. They are avid sports fans for professional teams as well as their nephews' youth leagues. They love to travel and spend time with their friends and family.
	Dale & Amy -  Married for 31/2 years, Dale is 36 years old and works as a water plant operator. Amy is 29 years old and is an in-home day care provider. They enjoy spending time at the lake, traveling & being with family & friends. They have a Cockapoo named Charlie.
	Jerry & Mary - Suburban, Catholic couple. Jerry is 40 years old and works as an administrative officer. Mary is 37 and is a sales analyst. They enjoy the outdoors, gardening & fishing.
	Tom & Nikki - Married for 9 years, Tom is 33 years old and manages the family business. Nikki is 33 years old and is an engineer. They enjoy golfing, traveling, remodeling projects, and spending time with family and friends.
	John & Katie - Suburban couple, married for 10 years. They have a 3 year old adopted son. John is a teacher. Katie works with her family's manufacturing business. They enjoy outings, sports, travel adventures, home improvement, & watching movies.
	Justin & Jen - They have been together for 9 years, married for 71/2 years. Jen is 32 years old and is an accountant. Justin is 30 years old and works as a machine technician/engineer. They enjoy weekends at the lake, fishing, golf and home remodeling projects. They have 2 dogs, Hunter & Peeter, and 2 cats, Griffey & Ripken.
	Mike & Christine - Suburban, Christian couple have been together for 12 years. Mike is a software engineer and enjoys reading books & running. Christine is a part time teacher and enjoys painting, sewing and scrapbooking.
	Dave & Necia - Suburban couple, married for 12 years. They have a 3 year old adopted son, Darien. Necia is a stay-at-home parent. They enjoy hiking & bike riding. Dave enjoys weightlifting & video games, Necia enjoys scrap-booking & painting and Darien likes playing cars.
	Bruce & Lisa - CHOSEN - Urban couple, together for 6 years, married for 4 years. Bruce is an environmental scientist. Lisa works in insurance and theatre. They enjoy traveling, exploring the outdoors, riding bikes listening to jazz & blues and dancing together.
	Jim & Aimee - Suburban couple, Jim is 37 years old and works as a financial analyst. Aimee is 36, and is an accountant. They have a 6 ½ year old son. Aimee enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with family & friends. Jim enjoys cooking, sports, running & traveling.
	Tom & Cyndy - Christian, suburban couple, together for 8 years, married for 6 years. Tom and Cyndy enjoy camping, hiking and travel. They have 2 dogs.
	Tanya & Gerry - CHOSEN - Suburban couple, married for 9 years. Gerry is a food research & development director, Tanya is a retail executive. Gerry enjoys woodworking, hunting & fishing. Tanya enjoys scrapbooking & photography. They have a Cavalier Spaniel named Hunter.
	Karen & Jon - CHOSEN - Married for 10 years, Karen is an early childhood teacher and researcher at the U of M, and Jon is a lawyer for a non-profit organization. They both enjoy snorkeling, music, animals, cooking, traveling, and Lake Superior. They have a cat named Harley Davidson.
	Todd & Laura - CHOSEN - Rural couple, married for 23 years. Together they own a family marine business. Laura plans to be a stay-at-home parent. Together they enjoy family activities, camping & traveling.Todd enjoys fishing & being outdoors. Laura enjoys scrapbooking & running.
	Joe & Deb - Rural couple, married for 15 years. They have 2 daughters, Ashley, 13 & Sarah, 10. They enjoy playing sports, watching their daughters in their activities and traveling. They have 1 dog named Cubby.
	Dewey & Shannon - Suburban couple, together for 13 years, married for 8 years. Dewey is a construction project manager. Shannon is an administrative communication manager. Together they enjoy going for drives to the apple orchard, spending time outdoors playing golf & softball, and entertaining family & friends. They have a Springer Spaniel named Scout.
	Kara & Dave - Urban couple, Kara is a university art history instructor, and Dave works as a web developer. They enjoy hiking with their dog, Sammie, getting together with friends & family, traveling, a love of food, the outdoors, and, most of all, children.
	Kris & Joel - Lutheran, rural couple, married 5 years. Kris and Joel enjoy snowmobiling, Vikings football, camping, biking & music. They have 1 dog named Casey and 2 cats named Buster & Rocky.
	Paul & Sally - Suburban couple, married 12 years. Paul is a market investigator and Sally is a part-time human resources consultant. They have a 4 year old son named Will. They enjoy golf, gardening, sports & game nights with friends and family.
	Brett & Lynn - Rural couple, Brett works as a geographic information system (GIS) coordinator for City. Lynn is a Day Care teacher. Brett enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking & hunting. Lynn enjoys reading and walking. They have a yellow Lab and a Bassett hound.
	Jen & Hank - Suburban couple, together for 5 years. Jen is a junior high English teacher. Hank is a medical sales executive. They enjoy traveling, walking half marathons, curling, spending time outdoors, hanging out with friends and family, laughing together and playing cards.
	Amy & Dawn - Urban couple, together for 16 years. Dawn is a regional vice president and Amy manages the household and will be the stay-at-home parent. They have two cats, Willa and Wishbone.
	Ryan & Tara - CHOSEN - Suburban couple, together for 13 years. They enjoy golfing, boating, fishing and spending time outdoors & community activities. They have a Yorkshire terrier named Bailey.
	Julie - Suburban parent, Julie has one adopted 3 1/2 year old daughter named Liliana. Julie works as a director of communications. She enjoys traveling, going to their lake cabin, attending theater and musical performances, biking, rollerblading, and listening to music.
	Bryan & Kristin - Rural couple married since 1999. Bryan is a structural engineer. Kristin is an attorney. They enjoy running road races, golf, camping, and other outdoor activities. They have one dog named Walter.
	Lynn - Single, living in non-metro city. Lynn is a certified athletic trainer and physical therapist assistant. She enjoys being outdoors, doing triathlons, running, spending time with family & friends, and scrapbooking.
	Marc & Jenny - Suburban couple, married for 6 years. Marc is a sales manager and Jenny is an account supervisor. They enjoy amusement parks, boating, walking their dogs, entertaining friends and family, reading and going to movies. They have 2 dogs, 3-year-old Shih Tzus, named Jack & Jill.
	Laura & Davin - CHOSEN - Married for 8 years, Davin is 31 years old and works as an actuary. Laura, 25, is a massage therapist and will be a stay-at-home parent. They enjoy taking vacations, outdoor games and events, and spending time with family and friends.
	Shawn & Christel - Rural couple, married since 2005. Christel is a computer programmer and Shawn owns his own business in the construction industry. Shawn enjoys golfing, riding his dirt bike, fishing, and hunting. Christel enjoys gardening, golfing, running, fishing, and camping. They have a Golden Retriever name Daisy.
	Paul & Kristi - Suburban couple. Married 6 years. Paul is a purchasing manager. Kristi is an attorney. They have a son, Christopher, who was born in November, 2006. They enjoy boating, family walks and spending time with family and friends. They have a Golden Retriever named Fletcher.
	Brian & Jackie - Rural Christian couple, married for 8 years. Brian is a farmer. Jackie is a teacher. They enjoy gardening, cooking, fostering puppies, coaching softball, community volunteer work, and snowmobiling. They have 2 dogs and 2 cats.
	Elizabeth & Emily - Urban couple, together for 7 years, married for 3 years. Emily works for a nonprofit and teaches traditional dances. As an author, Elizabeth teaches creative writing to adults. They enjoy canoeing, camping, singing, gardening, cooking. They are both able to work part-time to be at home with a child.
	Robert & Tara - Suburban couple, married for 5 years. Tara is a dental hygenist, Robert is an engineer. They enjoy traveling, cooking & selling on E-bay. They have one small dog named Daunte.
	Kristi & Jim - Suburban couple, have known each other for 10 years, married for 8 years. Kristi is an engineer. Jim is a retail manager. They have a 6 year old son named CJ. They enjoy camping, hiking, riding bikes, scrapbooking, and spending time with their families and neighbors. They have 2 Beagles, Shiloh & Trax.
	Dustin & Heidi - Lutheran couple, Dustin is 30 years old and works as a milk hauler. Heidi, 34, is an administrative assistant. They enjoy snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, cooking and scrapbooking. They have a dog named Harley and a cat named Milo.
	Ryan & Michelle - Suburban couple, married 2 years. Ryan, 33, is an airline pilot and Michelle, 27, is a social worker. They enjoy barbeques with their neighbors, taking advantage of Ryan's travel benefits and walking their two long haired Chihuahuas. Michelle is looking forward to being a stay at home mom.
	Jennifer & Cory - Suburban couple, married 9 years. Cory is a business analyst and Jennifer is a pediatric occupational therapist. They have a 4 year old daughter named Nora. Cory enjoys photography and fixing things around the house. Jennifer likes cooking and gardening.
