 Toni and Naomi
THANK YOU for considering us as adoptive parents for your child. Together nearly eight years, we married in California. Perhaps a same-sex couple wasn't what you initially had in mind; however, as you read on you will see that we will provide a loving, stable, wonderful home for your child. From an early age, your child will know about the loving decision you made in bringing us together. We hope to experience a lasting, comfortable, and fulfilling connection with you if you desire. We are eager to hear about the hopes and dreams you have for your child and would be honored to talk with you!
OUR DECISION TO ADOPT
We have always wanted to be parents! We chose to build our family through adoption after finding that we were unable to have a biological child despite years of fertility treatments. Several of our friends and relatives have adopted children or are adopted themselves, and we are inspired by the love in their families. No matter how a child enters our lives, that child will be loved completely!
TONI
I grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota. As an attorney, I am passionate about advocating for others and pursuing justice. In my spare time, I love to read, travel with Naomi, watch films, spend time with friends, and experience new things. I keep active by running, hiking, and practicing yoga. I am a loyal and dedicated friend. I have a lot of love to give a child and yearn to experience the privilege and honor of being a mother.
NAOMI
I lived in Chile, South America until I was seven, when my family moved to Chicago, Illinois. In college, I majored in photography and was able to travel to Asia and Eastern Europe before making my home in Minnesota. I love nature and making things -- whether it be silver jewelry, knitting, gardening, printmaking, photography or birthday cards. My interests are running, hiking, and traveling with Toni. I cannot wait to be a mother!
 OUR VALUES
Our values, influenced by Toni's Catholic and Naomi's Lutheran upbringing, include love, respect, honesty, and kindness. We also value personal growth, hard work, humor, and laughter. For us, life is about continual exploration and joy.
OUR FAMILIES
We both come from large, supportive families. Toni's parents, four siblings, and five nieces all live in Minnesota. Naomi's mom, three siblings, and six nieces and nephews all live in Chicago. We see our families often. They are very excited for us to adopt and to welcome a child into the family.
 OUR HOME
Our home is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood of Saint Paul. We have a wonderful dog named Rosie who brings joy and lightness into our lives. Several of our friends live nearby with their young children, some of them adopted. Our neighborhood is diverse, friendly, and safe.
FOR FUN
As active people who like to experience new adventures, we love to challenge ourselves by running with our dog, training for running races, and going on long hikes. Each year we travel to Mexico where we use our Spanish language skills and meet new people. We also enjoy reading, cooking together, and spending time with our families and friends. We look forward to sharing all these experiences with a child.
