We would like to THANK YOU for choosing to read our letter. As adoptive parents we acknowledge that the decision to place your baby for adoption is a very brave and courageous decision to make.
Hopefully this letter will give you an idea what our life is like and reflect our strong desire to welcome a child again into our family through adoption. Our life is based on the 3 F's. Family, Faith and having Fun! Please read on to see why we would love to adopt your child and how our family will be complete with a new baby. Thanks again for your consideration and best of Luck!
JOE
Joe is a hard working, compassionate man who loves to make people laugh! Anyone will tell you that Joe would give a stranger the shirt off his back. He likes to act all tough, but he is just a softie at heart and is always willing to lending a helping hand. Joe has a Journeyman's degree in painting and decorating and is a commercial painter. He's helped paint the Mall of America, The Excel Center, and the new Twin's Stadium. He plays softball, goes hunting and loves going fishing.
My favorite thing about Joe is the unconditional love he has for our son, Connor. To watch the two of them together is amazing. Joe is always on the floor rolling around with him or outside playing games. Joe is not only a GREAT dad but a wonderful husband as well. ~ Tawnya
TAWNYA
Tawnya is a caring, sensitive mom who loves to be around her family. Any problems I have she will always find a way to make it better. While in her junior year of college at the University of Minnesota Duluth Tawnya's mom decided to buy a bridal shop. The business absolutely took off and she soon needed help! Tawnya stepped in and has helped her mom run the business for 15 years now. She works very hard, but luckily her job is very flexible so she never has to miss those special moments with Connor. She will enjoy working from home when another baby joins our family.
Tawnya loves scrap booking or a good movie but what she enjoys the most is coloring, reading, or doing puzzles with Connor! Their bond is truly inseparable. Tawnya is a wonderful wife and mother and can't wait to share her love with another child! ~ Joe
CONNOR
Connor turned six in November and is full of life. He enjoys playing outside and chasing our dog Scout or snuggling with our cat Mo Mo. He LOVES anything that includes dirt and trucks. He likes playing any kind of sports-but especially loves baseball! He is an energetic boy with a very loving and compassionate heart! He loves going to school and especially being around other kids. Connor is a GREAT kid and can't wait to be a big brother!
ADOPTION
We have been together for twelve years, ten of which we have been happily married. We chose to build our family through adoption after finding out we were unable to have a child ourselves. In Nov 2003 we were blessed with the adoption of our son Connor. We continue to have an open relationship with Connor's birthmother by sending her pictures and letters. It is hard to express in words the respect and gratefulness we have for her.
Adoption has not only brought us the GREATEST joy in our life but has opened our hearts and minds in extraordinary ways! We look forward to exploring the best kind of adoption for you and your Baby! Having both grown up with siblings we know how important that sibling relationship is. Through adoption we hope for our son to also experience that one of a kind relationship of being a big brother as well.
OUR FAMILIES
We live in a northern suburb of the twin cities. Both our parents live within five miles of us. On Saturday's after fishing, Joe's family gets together for a fish fry. The house is full of noise & laughter as the cousins chase each other around. We have a generous fenced in back yard, perfect for providing a safe and fun environment for children and pets. Tawnya's family loves to be adventurous and take family vacations together. They are always having movie night or a weekend full of playing board games.
OUR FAITH
We strongly feel our faith has led us to adoption. After struggling to get pregnant, we prayed that we would be guided in the right direction. Within weeks an employee at work, whose younger sister was pregnant and wanted to place her child up for adoption, approached Tawnya and eight weeks later Connor was born!
FUN
Most importantly we love to have fun! Whether it be going on vacations or just acting silly with Connor. Some of our favorite things to do together are: riding our bikes to the park, playing T-ball or soccer, playing hide and go seek in the dark, and we especially love fishing! Ice fishing or going together in our boat, we just love being together enjoying the outdoors. The three of us also love to snuggle up in bed and read a good book together or watch a fun kid's movie!
OUR PROMISE TO YOU
We promise to teach "your child" the importance of being an honest and compassionate individual, to respect others and always lend a helping hand. Fortunately, our financial position will enable us to send our children to college and we will always encourage them to live their dreams to the fullest. We promise to love your child unconditionally and with all our hearts and he/she will always know how much you love them as well. We know that this is a tough decision for you and admire your strength and courage.
We hope that we have conveyed the kind of people that we are, and the unconditional love, support, respect, and commitment we have to offer your child. We look forward to talking to you so that we can get to know each other better as you arrange an adoption plan for your child. Please feel free to call us at any time. Again, thank you for reading our letter. We wish you all the best in any decision you make!
