JOE,TAWNYA & CONNOR
We would like to Thank You for choosing to read our letter. As adoptive parents we acknowledge that the decision to place your baby for adoption is a very hard decision to make. Hopefully this letter will give you an idea what our life is like and reflect our strong desire to welcome a child again into our family through adoption.
ADOPTION
We have been a devoted couple for ten years, eight of which we have been happily married. We chose to build our family through adoption after finding out we were unable to have a child ourselves. In Nov 2003 we were blessed with the adoption of our son Connor. We continue to have an open relationship with Connor's birthmother by sending her pictures and letters. It is hard to express in words the respect and gratefulness we have for her. Adoption has not only made us happy parents but has opened our hearts and minds in extraordinary ways!
JOE
Joe is a very hardworking and compassionate man. He is the type of person who is always ready to lend a helping hand. From the moment I met him I knew he would be a Great father. He has two godchildren in which he is very active with and to watch him with Connor is amazing. He is always on the floor rolling around with him or outside playing trucks. Joe is a construction painter, plays softball and loves to go hunting and fishing with his dad. Joe not only is a great husband but he is great dad and I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world! ~ Tawnya
TAWNYA
Tawnya is a caring, hardworking mom who loves to be around her family. If I have a problem with Connor or anything else, she will always find a way to make it better. She is very outgoing and a joy to be around. Tawnya and her mom own their own bridal shop. Her job is very flexible and she can work from home when needed. Tawnya loves scrap booking or watching a good movie but most the time she is chasing Connor around the yard! Tawnya is a wonderful wife and she can't wait to share her love with another child! ~Joe
CONNOR
Hi, my name is Connor. I turned four in November. I love riding my trike and chasing my dog Scout. Every summer I put many miles on my trike riding to the park with my mom and dad. Sometimes I play too hard at the park and my mom has to carry me home while my dad rides the trike! I also like to go to the zoo and the children's museum. I love playing with other children and can't wait to be a big brother!
THE THREE F's
The foundation of our marriage is based on the three F's. Our Faith, Our Families, and having Fun!
OUR FAITH
We strongly feel our faith has led us to adoption. After struggling with infertility, we prayed that we would be guided in the right direction. Within weeks Tawnya was approached by an employee at the bridal salon, who's younger sister was pregnant and wanted to place her child up for adoption, and eight weeks later Connor was born!
OUR FAMILIES
We live in a northern suburb of the twin cities. Both our parents live within five miles of us. We have a generous fenced in back yard, perfect for providing a safe and fun environment to accommodate children and pets. Every Saturday after Joe and his dad go fishing his family gets together for a fish fry. The house is full of noise and laughter as the cousins chase each other around. Tawnya's family loves to be adventurous and take family vacations together. Our families are so excited to welcome a new child with open and loving arms!
FUN
Most importantly we love to have fun! Whether it be going on vacations or just acting silly with Connor. This past summer we spent a week in Brainerd where we had a blast riding the rides at Paul Bunyan Land and swimming in Gull Lake. On Friday nights we also love to hang out with our friends and their kids and barbecue and have bon fires. Our friends are very supportive of our adoption plans and can't wait to have another playmate to have fun with.
OUR PROMISE TO YOU
We promise to teach them importance of being an honest and compassionate individual, to respect others and always lend a helping hand. Fortunately, our financial position will enable us to send our children to college and we will always encourage them to live their dreams to the fullest. We promise to love your child unconditionally and with all our hearts and he/she will always know how much you love them as well. We know that this is a tough decision for you and admire your strength and courage.
We hope that we have conveyed the kind of people that we are, and the unconditional love, support, respect, and commitment we have to offer your child. We look forward to talking to you so that we can get to know each other better as you arrange an adoption plan for your child. Please feel free to call us toll free at any time.
Again, thank you for reading our letter. We wish you all the best in any decision you make!
Best Wishes,
