As you search for a family to raise your child, please know that we respect and admire you for considering adoption. Without it, we would not be parents. With us, your child will be raised in a loving, supportive and stable home. Your child would always know what a loving decision you made to bring us together. Why Adoption?
We chose to build our family through adoption after six years of unsuccessful pregnancies. We love children and we would love to adopt at least two children.

As A Couple
We first met at a local hospital through our work. Steve is an RN who works as a nurse manager and Anne works as a high school counselor. We've now been married six wonderful years! Respectful and supportive of each other, we are true partners in life. Our jobs are secure and we would raise your child in a Christian home.

We are energetic, active people who love to travel. We have trips planned with family to Arizona, Germany, Austria, and Israel in 2010. This year, Steve will take the ultimate challenge to do an Ironman triathlon in WI. We both also love doing anything outdoors with our dog, Woody.

Our Home & Neighborhood
We live in a safe, established neighborhood within walking distance of a park where we know our neighbors well. The school district (where Anne works) is highly sought after for being a five star school.

ANNE
I grew up in the Twin Cities with my mom, younger brother and stepfather. My dad lived nearby. We spent a lot time in Alexandria visiting my grandparents; ice-skating in the winter and renting a lake cabin in the summer with my aunts, uncles and cousins. Holidays were always packed with people. I was exposed to living in the suburbs and spent a good amount of time on a relative's farm in WI and a family lake cabin in Alexandria. I loved helping in the barn; milking the cows, taking care of the horses, and playing with cats. I enjoyed living in the Cities but also appreciated the country.

I work as a high school counselor with holidays and summers off. Since earning a Masters Degree, my entire career has been working with teenagers. In my spare time I enjoy exercising, interior design, politics, golfing, animals, and maintaining close relationships with family and friends especially playing games and doing crafts with my young relatives. I am equally content watching football or playing cards with the guys. I am a loyal friend. I can't wait to be a mom!

STEVE
My favorite memories from childhood include spending time with my grandparents on their farm and the lake cabin. I was in the Army and trained as a medic. Today my career is working in a hospital with teenagers. I value hard work, respect, honesty, a positive attitude and laughter.

While I enjoy training and competing in marathons, family and friends are most important in my life! I really enjoy spending time with my nephew and Anne's cousins, reading books, hanging out at the park and playing board games together. The laughter of the children makes the house full of life and love. I look forward to the rewards and challenges of being a father!

For Fun
We are excited to share our life with children! Holidays are always fun at our house because we have overnight guests. We have our own slumber party complete with blow-up beds. We play games and do art projects with our nephew and young cousins. Our extended family is diverse and includes a minister, an artist, a dentist, a college football coach, a college professor and an engineer, which provides for interesting conversation.

We also like theater, music, art and travel. At our lake property we like to fish, swim, bike, snowmobile, and cross-country ski together. Traveling near and far will always be a part of our life's journey as a family.
