We wish you peace of mind during this important time in your life. Who we are: We are Mike and Nicole, high school sweethearts who have been married for 6 years. We love animals and share our home with two miniature dachshunds and a cat. We are each other's best friend, and we are both so excited to grow our family through adoption. About Nicole: "Nicole is the most caring and loving person I know. She always keeps our lives filled with adventure whether it's planning a family trip, outings with friends, or a couple's weekend at a bed and breakfast. She is thoughtful, smart, patient, and great with children. I know she will be a fantastic mom." -Mike I come from a very close-knit family, and we love to spend time with them. I enjoy my job as a middle school counselor, and strive to make a positive impact on my students' lives. My job also allows for a great schedule with summers off, which will be ideal when we have children. I have always known that I want to be a mother, and I can't wait to bring a child into our family. About Mike: "Mike is one of the funniest people I know. He makes me laugh and fills my life with happiness. I still get excited about seeing him every day. He is an amazing husband, and I know he will be an incredible father." -Nicole I come from a loving family and grew up in Minnesota near the twin cities. In the past year I became an uncle for the first time when my sister gave birth to a baby boy. Spending time with my nephew has taught me a lot about children and has made me even more excited about being a dad. I work as an Information Technology Manager at a health care company near my home, and I really enjoy my job. I am a hard working person, but I value family above all else. I know that becoming a father will be life changing, and I couldn't be more excited about it!
We are a couple who loves to have fun whether it's with our friends, family, or a weekend away with just the two of us. We both love to travel and can't wait to share those experiences with a child. As an active couple, exercise and healthy living is very important to us. We enjoy running together and playing on a coed softball team. Mike also plays on a broomball team in the winter and golfs in the summer. One of our favorite forms of exercise is simply walking our dogs around our neighborhood. While we believe that staying active is important, we also cherish our time relaxing at home. One of our favorite times of year is football season as we are huge Vikings fans. We love lazy Sundays on the couch cheering on our favorite team. We feel very fortunate that both of our families live nearby, and we get together often for family dinners, birthdays, and holidays. Every summer we spend a week at a cabin with our family filled with swimming, playing games, eating, and laughing. Our families couldn't be more supportive and excited about our plans to adopt.
