Hi! We're Matt and Mara. Thanks for taking the time to look over our letter. We know that choosing adoptive parents is a difficult decision, and we hope you will see why your child would be well loved and cared for with us. We are devoted to each other and look forward to expanding our family and sharing our love with a child. Your child's life would be filled with learning, fun, travel, and all the love we have in our hearts!

Mara
What drew me to Mara is her passion of life! She falls in love with the way the clouds billow in the sky and with a small bird that hops from branch to branch. She has such enthusiasm! Her excitement for life extends from nature to her job to her hobbies and especially to her family and our godchildren. She lights up whenever she reads them a bedtime story with special character voices. She answers their questions with love and patience. Mara is everything good: she is kind, she is empathetic, she is intelligent, she is funny. Mara is everything I ever wanted in a spouse, and everything a child could want in a mother!    by Matt

Matt
I first fell in love with Matt because he was so cool. Back then, he wore the trendiest clothes, listened to the best music, and knew all the up-and-coming films. Not much has changed, although he doesn't make coolness a top priority. Plus, he's so funny. He makes me laugh dozens of times each day, and his sense of humor is smart, silly, and even goofy. Matt's good at everything he does. While most people who can draw, sing, write, or pick up any sport can be annoying, Matt is down-to-earth and friendly! His family, friends, and dogs come first for him. Matt is generous, smart, thoughtful, and incredibly devoted. No matter where we go, children are drawn to his energy and enthusiasm!    by Mara

Friends and Family
Both of us were close to our moms growing up. Matt's mother taught him the importance of caring about other people through community service and charitable giving at their Lutheran church. Mara's mother encouraged her to embrace wildlife and to have a concern for the welfare of the planet through camping, hiking, and bird watching. Both mothers live nearby, and we see them often. They are very excited to become grandmothers—they're over the moon! Mara's stepdad is already planning family outings. Each holiday is filled with family activity on both sides with cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and siblings. Additionally, we have a large group of friends with children who look forward to being involved in the life of our child.

Our Home and Neighborhood
We live in a four bedroom home at the end of a quiet street. Nearly every room in our house has shelves of books. Even the baby's room has started its own collection of Sandra Boynton books. Only a block from a playground and park, our home is close to Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet. Any child we•re lucky enough to raise will be brought up in a diverse neighborhood. Additionally, our school district is one of the highest ranked in the state.

Thanks for taking the time to look over our letter. We hope you will take us into consideration as you make your decision. Our dream is to make a connection with a birth mother like you and get to know the hopes and dreams you have for your baby. We would love to be the parents to make your hopes and dreams come true.
