Greg & Lisa Hello Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the fun, loving, and happy family we can provide for your baby. We truly value your courage, strength, and most of all your love for your child as you consider an adoption plan. We have always dreamt of having children, but have not been able to conceive. It is our belief that open adoption is beneficial for everyone involved, and we hope you feel that way too. We hope to learn more about the dreams you have for yourself and your child and appreciate the opportunity to share information about us! Parenting We own a consulting business that offers us plenty of flexibility, so we will take turns staying home to raise our kids and won't use daycare. We look forward to raising our kids the way our parents raised us: with fun, positive experiences, humor, encouragement, patience and abundant hugs and kisses. Personal History Here is a glimpse of our lives. Lisa enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, gardening, and spending time with family and friends including her two brothers in Colorado. Lisa recently obtained her bachelor's degree in IT Management and is self-employed as a Software Analyst, but her most important goal is to become a mom! "Lisa is the light of my life. She loves to spend time with children, whether it's teaching them something new or having fun playing with them. Lisa loves to cook and nothing beats walking in the door to the smell of her cooking. Lisa is a wonderful and loving wife who will be a great mom!" ~Greg Greg has seven siblings, 24 nieces and nephews and 23 great-nieces and nephews. (You should see the pile of presents under the Christmas tree!) When not working as a self-employed Handyman, he enjoys traveling, solving Sudoku puzzles, bowling, watching Sci-Fi action shows, and playing with his nieces and nephews. He can't wait to be a dad so he can play with our kids too! "Greg is going to be a fantastic father! He has a playful, fun-to-be-with disposition, and makes up funny songs and sings them to me. He also loves helping others and is exceptionally good at explaining things. Greg is my sunshine and I am so thankful for the life we share." ~Lisa A Year in Our Lives Throughout the year, we travel domestically and internationally. We look forward to taking our child so she/he can experience new cultures and taste authentic foods like Italian pizza and Belgium chocolates. (YUM!) One of Lisa's favorite memories is of Greg ogling the shelves of goodies in a bakery in Venice, Italy and then watching him enjoy every morsel of the baked goods we bought! During the spring and summer you will find us camping, bicycle riding, gardening, swimming and attending special events for the kids of family and friends. A favorite summer-time memory of Greg's is of us strolling bare foot on the warm sandy beach on Madeline Island with the sand squishing through our toes; it was so relaxing!
During the winter, to start the Christmas season, we host a day-long "Toys for Tots" fundraiser party, which is a fun way to get our family and friends together at our house to support a good cause. We are fortunate to have such kind and generous family and friends. Every day we live in a home full of humor, love, support and respect for one another. We live by the ethical and compassionate values we were taught by our parents. We are fortunate to spend our lives with our soul mates and truly appreciate the unconditional love we have for one another. Our Home and Community We live just a half hour outside of the Twin Cities in the town we grew up in. Our community has lots of parks, a fantastic activity center and a nearby regional park with a wonderful playground that we look forward to taking our kids to. Our local school district is excellent; students' test scores rank among the highest in the state. Our family and friends love to gather at our home to play games and have fun. Our back yard has a perfect spot for a swing set and is full of trees that will be perfect for climbing and creating adventures.
