We want to start by letting you know that we have a lot of respect for you for considering adoption as a choice. After you have read our letter, we hope that you find us to be a loving and caring family that you could trust to raise your child. About Us - We found each other 10 years ago while on a rafting trip in Colorado. Since meeting, our lives have been one great adventure. Jim proposed using a five carrot ring he made out of clay. When we told Kristi's parents about our engagement, we were dressed as "Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head" for Halloween. We were married two years later and blessed with the birth of our son C.J. After six years of trying to increase our family, we decided that adoption was definitely the right choice for us. To us, being parents is one of life's most precious gifts. We believe in an open, honest, and respectful relationship with our children. We feel that a strong religious belief and a good education will help guide our children in their choices and maximize their strengths. We were fortunate enough to be able to have Jim be a stay at home dad for C.J. It was the best investment we could have made and Jim is looking forward to doing the same for our next child. Our Family - We both have strong ties to our families. Kristi grew up with two brothers and a sister, and Jim is a twin in a family of three children. We stay in constant touch with our siblings and offer each other advice and support. C.J. is close to his cousins and loves to get together for play dates. We enjoy spending time with our families, either in the cities or in Illinois. Our neighborhood is made up of old and young families in all stages of life. Our immediate neighbors are like family. We take camping trips together several times a year and hang out in each other's yards.
She is compassionate and always looks out for the welfare of others. Her hobbies are knitting and crocheting crafts for gifts, as well as scrap booking our family memories together. As an engineering manager, she works on products that improve people's quality of life. Kristi also volunteers her time mentoring female engineers. My Husband - When I met Jim, I knew he was the kind of man that I would laugh along with in our old age. He always remembers to enjoy life and not get caught up in the details. Jim has an open embrace about him and a thoughtful heart. He is the uncle that all the nieces and nephews play with when our families get together. Jim enjoys creating beautiful stain glass art which we proudly display in our home. Professionally, he is a manager for a retail company. He enjoys the flexibility that his job brings and he is looking forward to being a stay at home dad again.
He also likes to play with our two dogs, Trax and Shiloh. C.J. is a Lego maniac, and you can find his creations all over the house. When C.J. outgrows a toy or piece of clothing, he won't let us give them away. Instead he insists that we keep them for the next child that joins our family. Thank You - We hope that you can find peace in your decision to place your child for adoption. We want to be able to meet with you to talk about your hopes and dreams for your child*s life. We would love to add another child to our family and give them the same care and love as were able to provide for our first child. Please call us anytime at (763) 267-3709.
