How do we even begin what could be the most important letter of our lives? We are excited for the opportunity to show you who we are and how we could be the right family to raise your child.

About Us & Adoption
We met on a blind date and it was as though we had known each other for years!

Married for 4 years now, we are excited to become parents! We are choosing adoption for several reasons, including infertility. We are comfortable discussing an open, ongoing relationship and assure you that if you decide we are the right family, your child will always know of your love. Wayne has 3 nieces who are adopted, several members of our extended families are adopted, and we also have friends who have adopted children. Adoption is something we are familiar with and really excited about!

All About Wayne
Wayne is a laid-back, funny and dependable guy. He loves to laugh, and to make those around him laugh as well! When not working as a store General Manager, he is usually either watching or playing sports, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, playing cards or camping. He's very handy! He's planning to build a tree house and swing set in our backyard soon!

Kids are just naturally drawn to Wayne. I don't know if it's because he gets down on their level and plays with them, or that he teases them and wrestles with them, but they just love him. I know that our family will be his number one priority and his biggest joy!

All About Kim
Kim loves to laugh! She is also very giving, outgoing and friendly. By day she is a Trading Assistant for a financial planner, but by night and on the weekends, she is an aspiring cake designer; birthday cakes, graduation cakes and wedding cakes are all specialties of hers. Our kids are going to have some of the best birthday cakes ever! She also loves to cook, read, golf, garden and can be found on Facebook sometimes, too.

Having a family has always been important to Kim. She has found a spot in the hearts of my nieces and nephews by always being an accomplice in their adventures: setting up an Easy Bake cake shop, reading stories, or just watching a movie. Last summer, Kim taught a family cake decorating class to all 7 of our nieces and nephews (ages 3 to 25!). It was messy, but they had a blast! Kim will be a great Mom!

Fun!
We are very serious about our fun. We have great friends and family with whom we spend a lot of our time. Some of our favorite things to do: family golf tournaments, annual camping trips, Vikings football parties, Wii tournaments, snowmobiling, movie nights, game nights and dinner parties. Kids are always included in the fun, and we can't wait for our kids to be in on the fun! We love to travel and are excited for road trips to visit family, camping and visiting various sites around the US, Europe and the Caribbean, too!

Family
We are both very close to our families and see them often. Everyone is excited to welcome another addition to the family!

Holidays are very big in our families! There are lots of kids (11 nieces and nephews and still growing!), lots of love, noise and fun! On Christmas morning, after the gifts have been opened and we've had breakfast, you can usually find us putting together a race track or baking a cake in an Easy Bake Oven.

Kim's family lives nearby, and we see them a lot. But, all 4 Grandparents are very hands-on and involved with their grandchildren, and are excited for more! We are so lucky to have big, involved families!

Our Home and Neighborhood
We live in a cozy rambler in a suburb right outside of Minneapolis. We love being so close to everything — work, sporting events, restaurants, good schools and lots of activities. Our neighborhood is diverse — and we love it! There are two beautiful parks nearby, and we are in a great school district.

Our fenced-in backyard is perfect for most games and we already have a great spot picked out for the play set and tree house!

Values
Family is our number one priority. If you place your child in our family, please know that they will be loved so very much. We were both raised to have a sense of purpose in life, to be kind and respectful to others, to be happy with who we are and to give back where we can. We believe kids need to be given the room to explore and to develop their own relationships and opinions. A good balance is the key!
