About John
To sum up John in one sentence, he's good right down to his core. He finds the best in everyone - watching him makes me want to be a better person. As a father he offers such tenderness, patience, sincerity and love it brings tears to my eyes. He truly has a beautiful, caring, and giving soul. He is the guy in the group that can make everyone laugh, and after being together for a long time we still crack each other up! Dedicated and committed to his family, John loves with all of his heart and soul.
About Marie
Marie is fun loving and easy going. She always greets you with a smile! It's impossible to miss her upbeat charm. Marie is genuinely interested in everyone she meets. She gets along well with people and makes friends easily! She truly has a magical talent of enjoying others. Marie is a natural parent; overflowing with patience, teaching, and love. I should sell tickets for people to watch Marie as a mom; it's fascinating! She's the best mom a kid could ask for!

Our Home and Family
Our hobby farm is on the edge of a rural town near Rochester. This is our hometown and we are blessed to have over 50 relatives surrounding our family. There is no doubt that this is where we want to raise our family.
 We live in a 5 bedroom house nestled on 13 acres of land. We've found amazing peace and bonding time taking care of our chickens and being outside together. (I know, I know, we probably sound like farmers! However, we are just "wanna-be" farmers.) Leighton's aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and friends are always at our house to spend time with us and help with the garden!
Our son, Leighton, is 2-1/2 years old. He has an amazingly sweet personality with lots of energy and giggles. His favorite things to do are read books (over and over), push his toy lawn mower to see the chickens and play with his cousins. We know he is going to be a terrific big brother because he can't get enough of other kids! While family is our highest priority, we are lucky enough to genuinely love our jobs.
Marie is a dentist and works 4 days a week just a half mile away from home. John is an engineer who works from home. We absolutely love our lives and dream of having a big, happy family. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to adopt as we complete our family!
Our Adoption Story
We feel so blessed to have the opportunity to adopt. John and I started dating in high school and talked about adopting then! However, we chose to finish college before starting a family. As soon as Marie completed dental school, Leighton came along. Soon after he was born we realized that he survived against all odds! We have had multiple miscarriages since then and we are exhilarated about finally pursuing adoption! It brings us such joy and excitement to imagine a very special baby blessed to our family...it makes the hair on my arms stand up! We believe God has an amazing baby out there somewhere just waiting to join our family!
In Closing
Our letter to you is filled with excitement of what the future brings. However, we realize you are making a difficult decision. Please know you are one of the most amazing people we could ever wish to meet! Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with you even though we haven't met yet. We really look forward to meeting you!
