Jennifer and Cory

We believe the more people that love and care about a child, the better. That is why we chose open adoption to build our family after struggling for seven years with infertility.

You are in our prayers during this time of difficult decisions. We are hoping for a situation where your child would have an ongoing relationship with you at the level that is best. We have friends who have adopted children and friends who are adopted, so we are very comfortable with adoption.

What's important to us in raising a child:
• Love—unconditional love and security
• Respect—for themselves and others
• Self Confidence—that they can achieve their dreams
• Joy—Appreciation of everyday blessings

Our Family Enjoys:
• Swimming at the YMCA
• Dancing around the house
• Eating at our favorite pizza place
• Going to the library
• Playing on the farm, four-wheeling, riding horses & making s'mores Watching the dolphin show at the zoo
• Visiting Cory's parents with lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins
• Playing together in the backyard

Jennifer
Smart, beautiful, fun and a dedicated wife and mother is how I, Cory, would describe Jennifer. There is nothing she wouldn't do for her family. She works hard to make our lives extra fun. (As I am writing this, she is sewing miniature chef hats for the kids invited to Nora's fourth birthday party.)

Jennifer is a part-time occupational therapist at a children's hospital. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, and trying out new restaurants. She tries to make every day special, from having picnics in the living room, fiesta nights with tacos and inviting our friends and their children to go swimming at the Y. She makes sure that we have fun as a family! -Cory

Cory
Easygoing, giving, loyal and loving are words I, Jennifer, would use to describe Cory. We have been married nine years this fall. He also is a great listener and fun dad. Cory is the seventh of eight children. Holidays at Cory's parents are a blast, with over 20 relatives.

I am amazed how Cory explains things so a child can understand without talking down to them. Creative, Cory graduated from college with a Studio Art degree which comes in very handy when he is making castles out of cardboard boxes or drawing pictures for our daughter Nora. He now works as a business systems analyst just four miles from our house. He is able to come home for lunch and picks Nora up from preschool.

At home, Cory likes to fix things around the house, work on photography or practice music. People are given different blessings in their lives, I believe having Cory as a husband is one of my greatest blessings. -Jennifer

Nora
She is a funny, smart, happy four year old. Her favorite activities are reading, going to Grandpa's farm, wrestling with Cory and dancing with Jennifer. Nora enjoys going to preschool three days a week at the same place her cousins go. Nora loves babies and will be a great older sister!

Community
We live in a southern suburb with good schools. Jennifer's sister and her family live just ten minutes away, and we see them often. The cousins love playing together. The library and swimming pool are within walking distance, and we go to a Lutheran church that has a lot of kid programming.

Thank you for taking time to read our letter. We pray for what is best for you and your baby, and look forward to discussing your hopes and dreams for your child. Please call or email.
