Hello!!!
What do you say to the person who might be giving you the best gift of your life? Well, I would like to start off by saying thank you. Thank you for reading my letter. Please know you are in my thoughts during this difficult time.
About Adoption
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a mom! When I was 22 years old life threw me a curve-ball and I had to have a hysterectomy. I've bounced back and look at the positives in life and have a lot to offer a child. I am so excited to adopt a child!
Top 4 Reasons I Want To Be A Mom
- I function better on three hours of sleep versus eight.
- Spit-up is a good look on me!
- My parents are tired of playing Santa for my sister and I.
- My dog is sick of listening to Click Clack Moo and other children's books.
All About Jennifer
As a former teacher and now a nanny, caring for children is my true passion and calling in life. I am generous, caring, loving, warm person and would do anything to help someone I care about I can't think of anything I want more than to raise a child and have a family! Oh.. Someday I do hope to marry, but I have just not found the right guy yet. Energetic is also a great word to describe me.
I like to be on the go whether it's going to a football game with family and friends, play dates with the kids I nanny for, or having get-togethers with my good friends. I've been told I'm pretty funny. I enjoy making people laugh. My friends know they can come to me to brighten their days. One of the nicest things someone has said about me was, I was having such a bad day until I talked to Jennifer. She really made me feel better. That, I thought was a pretty big compliment.
 Pets
I have a 3-year-old cocker spaniel named "Tate" who loves to play catch and howl when the Iowa Hawkeyes score a touchdown!! He loves to eat ice cream, go for walks, and play with kids.
Family
I grew up in Northeast Iowa in an extremely close-knit family. I was always surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles and lots of cousins. My dad is the rock of the family. He will do anything for anyone and has a heart of gold. He loves anything to do with sports; I guess that is where I get my love of sports. He has always been my number one fan!
My mom loves to help others. She volunteers at church and a local elementary school. She loves to bake, so when I was younger all my friends loved coming over for her cookies. My mom and dad are both excited about becoming grandparents. I guess buying dog toys just isn't fun anymore. I have one younger sister who has a huge heart and can't wait to become an aunt! I'm very blessed to have such a wonderful and supportive family.
Friends
I have been blessed with great close friends. Many I have known for over 15 years. When I told them about my plans to adopt, I was overwhelmed with their support. We get together all the time and they are always there for me.
Fun
As a Nanny, I spend my work week having fun with three amazing kids. You can find us making silly dresses out of crepe paper, dancing around the house and playing games. When the weather is warm we enjoy trips to the zoo, cooling off at the local swimming pool, and the many parks near by. When the weather turns cold we enjoy sledding, the museums and indoor water parks.
I can't wait to do all of these things and more with my child. Day-care will never be needed, and I can't wait until I'm a mom and can bring my child along for the fun. I enjoy football season as I am a big Iowa Hawkeye fan!! I  like to travel, swim, go boating have bonfires and BBQ with friends and family. I also like to read, shop, hang out with friends, enjoy a good movie with some popcorn and go out to dinner.
Life With Me
Life with me will never have a dull moment. I can't wait to see the first smile, the first laugh, the first step, the first birthday and everything else that comes with raising a child. I've always dreamed of watching a child grow up and discover the world. I can't wait to take the next step and become a mother.
