HELLO!

THANK YOU for taking the time to read our letter. While we are very thankful that you are considering us for this important honor, we also realize that this must be a very difficult decision for you. Hopefully, our letter will help you get to know us, and give you a sense of comfort. We are thrilled about adoption and want you to know that this child will have incredible love, and would always know yours.

OUR FAMILY - Married for 10 years, we have one biological daughter, Megan, age 5. All three of us greatly desire to add another member to our family to love and care for. While infertility issues have come into play, that's not stopping our desire to add to our family. FAMILY is and always has been our focus – togetherness, sharing in each other's successes, failures, ups and downs, frequent bonding time with our relatives and friends, traveling together and enjoying the outdoors. Megan's grandmother spends one day each week with her – it is special play time for both of them!

DAVE is an engineer and a very involved Father. He feels his most important job is being DAD and always takes the time to take Megan for a ride in the kayak, jump into a pile of leaves, ice skate, chase around the yard, or just be silly. He is pretty handy and LOVES building and fixing things, so we like to lend him a hand (or hammer) with repairs around the house. We all help him with the vegetable gardening (canning & freezing as well). Dave is very athletic and enjoys running and Tai Chi.

BRENDA works as an executive assistant, but being a mom is her greatest joy! Helping a child learn and achieve new milestones is so important, so that's why Brenda makes time for Megan's activities and lessons. Whether we welcome a girl or boy into our family, helping them learn and experience new things is her passion and joy. Brenda also enjoys shopping and crafts. Cooking and baking together is a treat for all of us!

MEGAN will be starting Kindergarten in 2010, and is a very happy little girl. Her heart is so full of love that a sibling will be an amazing joy for her – she especially loves babies, and often asks for a little brother or sister! Megan takes different classes including swimming, gymnastics and dance. She would love to have a new family member join us in all our family activities: fun at the pool, swinging, traveling, making sandcastles, sledding, skating and making snowmen. Since most seating arrangements come in fours, she often asks, "Who will sit there?"

FRITZ and MADDIE, are our two cats, who provide all the fun you'd expect from our gentle furry friends.

LIFE WITH US - We are a Christian family, attend church regularly and live by the values we were taught – being kind, honest, respectful, treating others as we wish to be treated, and instilling these values in our children. Education is very important to us, so we're already making plans to send our children to college to give them every opportunity to reach their goals and dreams.

OUR HOME - We live in a nice, quiet neighborhood on a cul-de-sac with lots of children around. We love our home and we also love to travel – Florida was our latest trip this past winter, although, we don't have to go far to enjoy a weekend of family camping. Whether we are away or at home, being together, sharing love and family time is most important. We'd love to welcome another child to share that joy with us!
