Hi, Our Story We have been happily married since 1997, and from the time we started dating, we knew that we shared many of the same values, goals and dreams. Children have always been an important part of our lives, and soon after we were married, we started trying to have a baby. After years of fertility challenges, we were blessed with the birth of our daughter, Alycia in 2003. We love every part of parenting and cannot wait to continue to grow our family through adoption. We have a stable, loving marriage and a house that is filled with lots of happiness and fun. Parenting is everything we dreamed about, and we are very excited to welcome another child into our home! About Tana I grew up on a farm and was raised in a very close family with two siblings. I work in marketing and feel very fortunate to have the flexibility at my job to keep a great balance between work and home. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with family & friends, working on house projects, scrapbooking, and outdoor activities. I treasure time doing fun things with Aly, whether it be creating art projects or playing at the park. We love to sit at the piano and sing silly songs! At night, I look forward to curling up with Aly to read books before bedtime. My most important job is being a mom, and I love every part of it! About Corey I was raised in a small town and am the youngest of five kids. Currently, I am the support services manager for a computer data company, a rewarding career that allows me to learn and grow every day. In my free time I enjoy a game of pick up sand volleyball, shooting 18 holes of golf with my brothers or watching the Vikings play on Sunday afternoon. I also enjoy singing, playing piano and even strum a few chords on the guitar every now and then! I just love being a dad, from blowing bubbles in the front yard to sitting around and playing games at night. Every day I get to watch my daughter experience new things! Family & Friends In 2004, we built a new home with plenty of space for our family to grow. Our neighborhood is a safe, family-oriented community where you often see children playing outside together. We have a gentle, lovable cocker spaniel named Disney who is a wonderful dog that loves kids and is a little "best friend" to our daughter. We are in walking distance of parks, schools and bike trails and live only a short drive away from both downtown and the country. We feel like we have the best of both worlds and many great friends and family around to make it complete. Throughout the year, we get together with family for birthdays and holidays - always looking forward to lots of laughs and our family's favorite recipe for hot fudge ice cream topping! We are blessed to have nine wonderful nieces and nephews and love to cheer them on as they participate in many activities and sports. We look forward to watching our children learn from and grow up with such a close extended family. Fun We have a fun and active lifestyle that includes a wide range of interests. We are members of a great church family that really focuses on kids. Tana even directs a children's choir at our church, a volunteer position that is very rewarding. The outdoors also play a big part in our lives, whether it is going to the park, taking a bike ride or playing on our swing set in the back yard. A day spent at the state fair looking at the animals and exhibits, an afternoon with Aly at the apple orchard, or a weekend at our family cabin are some of the things we love to do. We also look forward to time spent traveling, as we really treasure our family vacation time. Disney World happens to be one of our favorites! We enjoy hay rides in the fall, skating and sledding in the winter and golfing, volleyball and swimming in the summer. Values and Beliefs We were both raised in loving Christian homes with strong family values. Our faith is an important part of our lives and nurturing our children with the values of love, patience, respect and honesty is a priority for us.
