We are Chris and Tara. Thank you for choosing to read our letter. We have a great amount of respect and admiration for you as you plan for your baby's future. Making an adoption plan is a loving, caring and selfless decision. Both of our families have experienced all sides of adoption. We are thrilled that you are taking the time to get to know us and considering us to be parents.

Adoption
Having dealt with infertility, we are very excited about the gift of adoption to help us create the family we have always longed for. Chris has an older brother that had been placed for adoption when his parents were very young. He was touched by the sacrifice his parents made. Chris has reconnected with his new older brother, learned of the loving family that raised him, and ever since they have been close.

About Us
We've been best friends for seven years; happily married for five. We enjoy traveling, spending time with friends, meeting new people, and just hanging out together. As best friends, we are passionate about all sports, especially football, baseball, and outdoor water sports. We enjoy new restaurants and going to movies.

Family & Home
Family has always come first for us. We never miss family events like our nieces' dance recitals, nephew's football games, family reunions, birthday parties, holidays, and backyard barbeques. We know we are fortunate to have this and we know that your child will be surrounded by love, attention, and unwavering support. Our families are about loving unconditionally, celebrating victories, and comforting in times of need.

Our home is in a beautiful family-friendly neighborhood in Western Wisconsin (30 minutes east of Minneapolis). It is within walking distance to parks and an elementary school. There are ice skating rinks, great sledding hills, ball fields, and several nearby lakes for fishing and boating. The public school system is great, as we intend to provide the best education possible.

My Husband, by Tara
Chris is honest, funny, confident, and supportive. What I love about Chris is that he cares deeply about friends and family and would do anything for them. Dedicated and hard working as an attorney, he has "family first" values. I watch Chris shower his nieces and nephew with love and support and I can't wait for him to be a father! He is very close to his whole family and we visit with them often.

Chris grew up in Minneapolis with his parents and younger brother. He loves sports, fishing, reading, and building/fixing things around the house. Chris enjoys playing in a summer softball league and I enjoy cheering from the sidelines! Chris is also a Vikings fan; I've tried to convert him to the Packer side, with no luck! It's a fun rivalry our entire family shares.

My Wife, by Chris
Tara is compassionate, fun, and outgoing. What I love about her is that she always sees the positive in any situation. Motivated and hard-working, she makes sure family and friends come first. She especially loves to make time for her nieces and nephew. One of Tara's favorite things to do is plan a "girls" day; Tara and her nieces go shopping, cook dinner, and do crafty projects. Our nieces and nephew just adore her. We are really looking forward to having our dream of becoming parents come true; I know Tara will be a fantastic mom!

Tara is a project manager in Minneapolis. Outside of work she enjoys seeing friends, shopping, and going on walks. Tara does like to slow down too. She has learned how to knit, and loves to make quilts for her nieces, as well as family and friends that are welcoming babies into their families. Tara grew up not far from where we live. Her family is very close, they all live nearby and we spend a lot of time together. During football season, we spend a lot of time together rooting for our sports teams; she really is a huge Packer fan!
